Public Toilets in Docklands

Docklands' waterfront promenade, Marvel Stadium and The District make knowing your nearest loo handy for a day by the harbour.

Docklands is built around the water — the Victoria Harbour promenade, NewQuay's restaurants, big events at Marvel Stadium and the shops at The District. Here's where to find a public toilet across the precinct.

Tips for Docklands

Toilets around Victoria Harbour

Docklands is compact and modern, and almost everything sits around the water. The Victoria Harbour promenade and NewQuay waterfront both have public toilet blocks along their walking paths, and the Library at The Dock — a public library right on the harbour — is a reliable, comfortable free stop during opening hours. The District Docklands, the precinct's main shopping and entertainment centre, has clean, accessible facilities with baby-change rooms and is open through trading hours.

Because Docklands was purpose-built, step-free access is generally good across the precinct, and the wide, flat promenades make it easy to get between facilities with a pram or wheelchair. Docklands Park and the smaller waterfront reserves have amenities near their playgrounds as well.

Marvel Stadium event days

The single biggest thing to know about Docklands is Marvel Stadium. On event days — AFL matches, concerts and big shows — the area's population swells dramatically, and while the stadium's own concourse facilities open to ticket-holders, the surrounding public and shopping-centre toilets get very busy before and after events. If you're in Docklands around a fixture, plan ahead and use the 🕐 Open Now filter, since some waterfront blocks close in the evening once the crowds thin.

Families and accessibility

The District and the Library at The Dock are the most family-friendly indoor stops, both with baby-change facilities and easy access. Along the waterfront, accessible cubicles are available and the modern layout means they tend to be more generously sized than older inner-city blocks — but the ♿ Accessible filter is still the quickest way to confirm what's nearby before you set off.
