It's the same trusted data as the website — public toilets across Melbourne and Victoria, drawn from the National Public Toilet Map and supplemented with our own community-verified entries.

How to install it

Because the app is downloaded straight from our website rather than the Play Store, Android will ask you to confirm the install. That's completely normal for a direct download — here's what to expect:

Tap the download button above on your Android phone. (If you're on a computer, open this page on your phone instead.)

Your browser may warn that this type of file can harm your device. This is the standard message Android shows for any app installed outside the Play Store. Tap Download anyway / OK.

Open the downloaded file — either from the download notification, or via your Files app in the Downloads folder.

Android will ask for permission to install from this source. Tap Settings, switch on Allow from this source, then press back.

Tap Install, then Open. That's it — you're done.

Good to know

Android only for now. There's no iPhone version yet — iPhone users can add the website to their home screen instead (Safari → Share → "Add to Home Screen"), which works much like an app.
Updates are manual. Since it isn't distributed through the Play Store, you'll need to come back to this page and download the latest version when we release one.
Location is optional. Like the website, the app only uses your location to centre the map on you — you can decline and still browse normally.
Prefer not to install anything? The web map works perfectly on mobile and needs no download at all.
